US-Africa Nuclear Energy Summit

From October 30-November 1, 2023, the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) in collaboration with the Nuclear Power Institute (NPI) of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission, will be hosting the U.S. – Africa Nuclear Energy Summit (USANES) 2023, in the vibrant city of Accra, Ghana.  The Summit will be the first-ever Pan-African event hosted by the U.S. focused on the future of nuclear power in Africa.  

This summit will provide a distinguished platform for leaders, policymakers, technical experts, and influencers from around the world to engage in critical dialogues on nuclear energy issues. With a focus on fostering international cooperation, sharing innovative solutions, and shaping policies, the event will serve as a catalyst for positive change and as a platform to strengthen existing relationships and establish new ones to enhance cooperation in the nuclear energy sector.
