The Commercialization and Communication Directorate (CCD) was established to commercialize and raise awareness on services and products offered at the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC). It has a mandate to build and maintain the image of GAEC by employing by employing cutting edge communication and public relations activities. Some of the activities of the directorate include the following:

  • Develop and implement guidelines and procedures governing the commercialization and communication activities of the Commission.
  • Provide strategic direction to enhance the image of the Commission.
  • Educate and inform the public on GAEC’s nuclear technologies and services.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality control standards to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Promote and market income-generating activities of the Commission.
  • Respond to industrial needs through technology transfer and promoting innovation.
  • Develop, protect, and manage the intellectual property of GAEC research output.
  • Create avenues for public-private partnerships (PPP).

 

The Directorate comprises the Communication and Public Relations Centre, Marketing Centre, Technology Transfer and Innovation Centre, Information and Communication Technology Centre, and the GAEC Guesthouse and Hospitality Services Centre.
